hack night!

get ready for hack night! an awesome hackathon happening right here in irvine, ca! this is your chance to team up with others to create, innovate, and have some fun.

what’s happening?

attendees will group up into teams, pick a theme to hack on, and make as much progress as they can within a day. teams will be able to attend workshops, q&as, and mentorship pairings. they will then demo their projects and submit them for evaluation.

  • 9:00 am: doors open for team formations
  • 10:00 am: opening remarks 
  • 10:30 am: hacking begins!
  • 11:30am "python is slow. let's make it faster" - brandt bucher, python core developer

  • 1:00 pm: lunch served
  • 1:15-1:45pm q&a panel
  • 2:30pm: "dev tools: what should you choose?" - anhquan nguyen, associate software engineer, blizzard
  • 3:30pm: "hack the recruiter screen: insider tips from a former tech recruiter" - jacqueline taylor, software engineer at v.two
  • 5:00 pm: demos & presentations
  • 6:00 pm: judging
  • 6:30 pm: winners announced & closing remarks
  • 7:00 pm: doors close
